Welcome to Dancely (“we”, “our”, or “us”). Dancely is a global dance studio management platform serving studios and dance communities worldwide. We are committed to protecting the personal information of our users — studio owners, staff members, and students. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it.
By using our platform at dancely.pro or any related apps, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Account & Studio Information
- Name, email address, password (hashed)
- WhatsApp phone number (for account verification and automation)
- Studio name, address, city, state
- Studio logo, bio, social media links, dance styles offered
2.2 Student Data
- Student name, phone number, email, date of birth
- Parent/guardian contact information
- Enrollment dates, batch/class information
- Fee records, payment history, attendance and progress notes
2.3 Usage & Technical Data
- IP address, browser type, operating system
- Pages visited, features used, session duration
- Error logs for debugging
3. How We Use Your Data
- Service delivery: To operate, maintain, and improve the Dancely platform.
- WhatsApp automation: To send fee reminders, birthday messages, class updates via the official WhatsApp Business API.
- Account management: To authenticate users, manage subscriptions, and handle billing.
- Customer support: To respond to queries and troubleshoot issues.
- Analytics: Aggregated, anonymised usage analysis to improve features. Never sold.
We do not sell your data. We do not share student or studio data with third parties for advertising.
4. Data Sharing
- WhatsApp Business API providers: To send messages on your behalf. Governed by Meta's WhatsApp Business Terms.
- Payment processors: For billing only. No full card numbers are shared.
- Cloud infrastructure: Industry-standard global cloud providers with encryption.
- Legal authorities: Only if required by law or court order.
5. Data Storage & Security
- Data is stored on encrypted servers with daily backups.
- Passwords are hashed — we cannot read them.
- All communications use TLS/HTTPS encryption.
- Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel only.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. After deletion:
- Personal data anonymised within 30 days.
- Student records retained 12 months for compliance, then deleted.
- Billing records retained up to 7 years per applicable tax regulations.
7. Your Rights
- Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold.
- Correction: Update or correct inaccurate data from account settings.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data.
- Portability: Export your studio and student data in CSV at any time.

8. Cookies
Dancely uses essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser, but some features may not work correctly.
9. Children's Privacy
Dancely is intended for studio owners and staff (18+). Student records including minors are provided by studio owners and used solely for studio management. Parents may request deletion of their child's data by contacting the studio directly.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect.
